INVESTIGATING THE TEACHERS’ PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICES IN MULTI-GRADE PRIMARY SCHOOLS: A SOCIOLOGICAL APPROACH

This research paper makes use of Basil Bernstein’s theoretical framework to investigate the pedagogical practices teachers who work in multi-grade Greek primary schools, and factors that influence shaping these particular theirs. The was carried out using tool semi-structured interview with participation 16 teachers. main findings this study revealed schools implement mixed which combine elements from both a visible an invisible pedagogy. In particular, were implemented during teaching subjects are considered be subjects, such as Language Mathematics. What’s more, it discovered there weakening evaluation criteria secondary, History.
